Packing sleds. Who has snow

Me and a few buddies are considering packing up the sleds and heading to some snow within the next two weeks if we don't get any here. Who thinks they have snow closest to say the Twin Cities, MN or northern Iowa? Just trying to get a good idea of how far we would need to travel to hit some. And I mean decent snow to ride in as well. thanks

me and a few buddies rode the north shore last weekend, as usual it was 3 days full of breakdowns (2 blown motors in a span of 5 miles, one voltage regulator not working which made for some exciting night riding, one sunken sled, loose pipe melting the belly pan, broken ski putting sled back onto trailer, and 5 near misses on moose on the way home)... but anyways, we stayed in two harbors, trailered west on hwy 2 to the state trail parkign area and when the sleds were running, or not under water, we found good trail conditions. they were much much better than expected espeically friday morning which is usually the case. so it is definatly ridable along the north shore, as long as you stay in the higher elevations... and the more NNW of two harbors you can get the better it is. goodluck.

haha yeah, that line was courtsey of a kid we ride with, last year in northern mn... right after landing on a rock and breaking the tunnel, totaling his sled... our group has a tendency to say that a little to often. atleast certain riders in the group. but i won't name names.
