max rpm on 600 zrt

My 1997 zrt 600 rpm gauge reads 8400 and full tilt
Is this to high. engine is stock and all orig except for 144 studs.
clutch is stock orig weights and spring from factory.

haha, my buddy was revving his to 10400....then 2 years later he broke the motor

Usually max. rpm is uaually 8000-8500, so i wouldn't worry to much.

Stock ZRT's turn mid 8's and piped ones turn high 8's low 9's.
