December Sled of the Month!
Name: Melvin Hussey - Radianguy
Sled make/model: Polaris 600 SKS
Location: Newfoundland, Canada
Where I ride: The west coast
I bought my sled in the fall of 2002. It started life as a 2003 Polaris 600 Classic Touring and this year I turned it into a SKS.
I removed the 2up seat, backrest, and rear cargo rack and installed a single seat. I have a 133.5x1.25x15 track. I also have a low blue windshield and have added a blue headlight cover since this picture was taken. I have spent several hours polishing the tunnel and under hood of my sled.
The only modifications I have made are to my primary clutch. I added heavier weights and am experimenting with springs to get a better bottom to mid range. The sled currently has 7200 trouble free miles and I am sure a lot more to come. I am sure this is a one of a kind!
I was going to remove the decals and install the 03 SKS decals but I thought it would be neat to have a 1up classic touring with a 133.5x1.25 track. I may put the oem SKS decals on before next season starts. That will give me something to do over the summer while I wait for the snow.

I don't know why I wasn't following the SOTM thread, but that's what I would have voted for! Good job. Personally I love the powder, and also have a Classic Touring, making your sled my sled's role model

Wow very nice sled. Looks good, not too overdone. And what a job on the running boards, they hurt to even look at them, congrats again!

Thanks guys for all the great comments.I was getting bored with the sled afterall this is my 4th winter with it .Anyway anyone that knows me will agree that I don't keep anything very long so I thought it was time to give the old girl a facelift. Now it's like I have a new sled for this winter. Then next spring the fun will start again.I may look for another hood and get something air-brushed on it or go ahead and get the oem SKS sticker kit for it.I guess you'll have to wait and see.
I polished my tunnel and running boards and while I had the seat off looking for a replacement I decided to polish under neath too.A bit much you think? That's just me.I have under my hood polished as well and since those pictures were taken I installed a polished canister.More bling!!
