800cc engines and their horsepower

I need to know how how much horsepower each 800 engine makes from each of the brands. My brother is convinced his arctic cat crossfire makes 160 horse and that our friend's 03 Rev 800 only makes 125. Is this so? If so, how can this be?

So what does the cleanfire 800 make? The arctic cat 800 h.o.? The 800 E-tec?

The reason for the power discrepancy from 2003 to now is due to engine design. Power output doesn't just bank on engine size, but also compression, flow, fuel mixture, ect.

In the last decade, engines designs are refined, and more power is made from the same cc.
