How To.
hey there just wondering if there is any thing you can do To A Yamaha Mountain max to make it have More Power and go up the hills faster.

you could get it clutched, so it engages faster... so i guess that would get ya up the hills faster! You'll lose top end speed tho!

try a quite can.. like a SLP, shed about 30 lbs or so

reads, porting, bore, shaved head's, pipes, clutching, gearing, drill some holes in the track with a holesaw, boss seat...............
are you looking for reliability or are you looking to make it up as fast as possible and nothing else

i got a question for you guys on the mountain max topic , i have a 700 triple mountain max, it has tripple pipes on it with three small individual stingers , what would happen if i ran the stingers without packing , they are the 8" long by say 2" thick tube style, i want it louder thats the only reason , it seems to quiet for having pipes on it ?

uh this isn't your thread...but you could also look into aftermarket K & N air intakes. I know they add like 6-20 horsepower to cars and if you could get anything near that with a snowmobile then you'd notice. And they make them specifically for snowmobiles.
