100LL is less octane and has a ton of lead in it(the LL means low lead, but it's misleading because it's a lot of lead). I have heard that it will foul your plugs and gunk up carbs and esspecially fuel injection systems. I am definatly NOT and expert on this, but that's just what I have heard. I have also heard that lead is an additive that is meant for constant speeds more than variable. I am a pilot and the gas is meant for that because most of the time, the engine in a light aircraft sticks to 2300 rpm or so and doesn't really change much except for landing/takeoff. Don't know if that helps or not, but it's just what I have heard.
