no contest My 84 srv 540 all the way..lol

just kidding I have ridden both the sleds in testing to buy. the viper was way out of my price range but wanted to try anyway.

seat of the pants results
The 99 670 ho launched like nothing I have ever been on the clutch hit at 4500

The viper did not have the launch but it gained speed very quickly it's clutch hit at 3800.

the 670 for the first 500 then the viper. that would be my guess.

670 all the way to the top, no problem. At the end the viper will be there but not gonna pass you (assuming you get a good bite)

Race Results

After alot of friendly ribbing we lined up the viper and the HO last night. From a dead stop is was no contest, i left on him by about 3 sled lenghts and it just kept getting farther. After hearing how he didnt hook we tried again every way possible, dead stop, 20mph, 30mph, 50mph and top speed. It was doo all the way.The fun one was from 20 roll on,passing him with skis in the air. Actually i was a little suprised the HO is pretty fast but i thought the viper would have been a little closer. May be biting off to much tonight, going against my brother in laws 01 mach z 700 triple with triple pipes, can, clutched, msd ignition, will let you know.

I think the mach z is gonna have you. You won't be dissapointed at how you will keep up tho. I had a 670, that's how I knew the viper had no chance. Those things are fast.IMO, the best engine Doo has had.

jagermeister

you were right the mach was alittle much, but he studded up the night before. For fun we had the 2 doos and a F7 with studs and can in the mix also, I was really happy how my 900 dollar ho ran with the 5000 dollar toys. The mach was all over the F7 all the way, i was behind but not by much. From about 20mph roll on i gave them both all they could handle till about 80 when they went by. Have to see what tonight brings.

Glad to hear it, like I said, those 670's kick some ass. In the Members Garage forum is a couple of pics of the Mach 1 I sold my brother. When I got my 800 REV we ran it and the Mach 1 together. Thought I had him smoked, when I looked back to see how bad, I was surprised. He was only about 60' back. That was up to about 90 mph.
