new members board

i was wondering if you could make a new members board. this way when you get new members they can post a lil bit about them selfes and they can get some q and a's out of the way before they start posting...also, you can post a sticky or an announcement for how to's, that way they dont have look very far to find something. for example, how to post pictures, or upload an avitar...just a suggestion
