Exclamation More Mods!

just think this place needs some better moderation

I haven't seen a post by Cobra or Dano in a while.....
Cobra's last post was March 7
Dano's last post was March 12

this place has a great group of guys and really doesn't need much moderation....but when the mods leave for 2 weeks, and a spelling error (Cosmetcis) is on the board for 3 months.....

Just a thought...

no kidding...i like how the guys and girls get along, and im glad that there have not been any real problems w/ the lack of moderation. but i can see that when this forum grows bigger, there will need to be moderators.

plus cobra and dano need to show their faces around a lil bit more

I really don't see the use for any more staff members since this place is pretty decent, compared to other snowmobile forums. This forum, it seems everyone gets along. If they don't, they work it out without a topic getting closed.
There really isn't anything spectacular for Modifications for vBulletin, but a few cosmetic things. I doubt Cobra would like to fork out $40 for a mod, or $100 for a skin, when, really, you could get someone from the forums to do it.
I think the Forum Administration is looking for simplicity, not hightech. I like a more simple forum, with people who post nice things, are nice, respective, than a forum with loads of mods, weird looking themes, and non-respective members.
Just my opinion.

Well I have been thinking of adding a new moderator... but its tough to see who would fit the bill.

I have been on vacation... just got back.

As for the look of the board... well I just stick with the keep it simple policy. It works great and modifacations have a way of messing things up from time to time. The standard VB seems to work just great imo.

A new moderator would be good, incase a problem arised. I like simple forums, with simple things. You've seem to have a great way of running the forum, and I hope to be a long-time member here. Welcome back from your vacation.

I am talking about someone from the forums doing it....and they don't get paid.....like a lot of other forums.....

Therefore 2 moderators = $0, 5 moderators = $0

i live on four sites. this one and 2 off road ones. moderating is something that we have to do all the time, unlike here where most get along. its an job on some sittes but here it'd be no big deal.(unless stuff really broke loose) I' would be willing to do it. ive done it before on other sites and did quiet well imo. just gimme a holler if ya want me too.

this is the Matrix and i am Neo. even if im not posting im here.

What I ment for "Mod" was a Modification. Some vBulletin "Mods" or "Modifications" cost money. I do not mean a moderator.

Hey G-Force, is a spelling error really going to bother you that much? or anyone else for that matter, there are too many people on here to pick a moderater, just let Cobra and Dano do it, they do a very good job and i'm sure if they needed help they would come to someone. Like you said, this forum is full of great people, not just guys, and more moderators don't seem to be needed.

not really the spelling mistake that bothers me, but it takes 2 seconds to fix and it hasn't been done,

and not necessarily even fights between people, but if a member joins, and then decides to post up some ****, then my understanding is that Cobra is legally responsible for that ****, and there's nothing no one can do except for him and Dano, who are off on a snowmobiling trip

my only beef is that they are not here enough to properly moderate the site..if they had moderators to do so, then problems could get taken care of w/o them being here, or when their sledding

its not an issue of the site being a bad one (and by all means, its one of my favorite forums), or that its not big enough, its just that the more people you have looking after something, the less likelyhood of something bad happening

uh...1+2= 3. dont worry about it, and just so you dont take this the wrong way, when i say dont worry about it i dont mean "your math skills suck", i mean "your missin a site, but i dont really care what it is"

i wouldnt care if i wasnt picked to moderate. i think that if there is a new moderater, it should be someone who posts in most areas. i help when i can but, for example, i dont know nothin technical about them polarises. i think we'll all be understanding if we dont get picked for moderating
