I was a huge snowmobiler for years but haven't been in several years as life's priorities changed. Wife, kids, job etc...But I recently purchased a lake house in Southwest Michigan and bought a few sleds. I bought a new 09 Arctic Cat F6 Sno Pro for me, an 04 F6 Firecat for the wife or friends to ride and a new 08 AC 120 for my kids (5 y/o son and 7 y/o daughter).

I can't wait for the snow to fly. The trails are right by my house and I plan to get up to Cadillac a few times and up to Northern Wisconsin as well. Living in the Chicago area has it's benefits as far as getting to snowmobile destinations.

Hey guys, I hope to use your site to gather as much info on safety and sled knowledge as possible. I am not sure if this is the right spot to be askin and if it's not I apologize. I just purchased a 1998 Arctic Cat ZR600, I don't know much about sleds as this is my first machine. So my questions are.... is this a good sled? are there any known major probs? what are some of the prep things that have to be done before the start of season? What should I go over before hitting the snow? Thanks guys if you can answer 1 or all of my questions.

Well actually I picked up 2 sleds. One is a 2001 600 ZRT with a 900 thundercat motor. :cheeky4: The second is a 1998 ZR 500 with a clutch kit (not sure which one). The 900 I'll be riding and the 500 is for my brother. He's 30 and has never ridden on a sled, and is very pumped to ride.

I've ridden mostly in the U.P. of Michigan on rental sleds 440 Z's & 570 Z's. It's been a few years since I've ridden...but can't wait for the snow to start falling. I have a place in Saint Helen, MI where the sleds will be ridden most the time. The sleds came with a trailer, so I wouldn't mind heading back to the U.P. Some of the best trails I've been on.

Is there many Michigan snowmobilers on here?

Hi from Sam Henderson in Smithers BC. :D This is the land of vertical and a ton of great riding! This is my first post on this forum. Although I do run a small repair shop, I am not on this forum to advertise or sell anything. I am here for info and stories about sleds. I have been porting and working on 2- stokes for about 35 years. I am happy to reply to anyone. :dunno:

My web site is [u]Eyecandy Custom Cycles - Homepage[u] if anyone wants to look at some hot Harleys and drag racing or see what I'm about. You can not buy anything there, just check me out. Support yopur local shop!

I like vintage sleds! My daily driver (and avatar) is a 75 SnoJet. It is hard to tell it is as old as it is. I like to build 440 fans up (guess what the "Jet" has) so don't be suprised if an old Exciter sleeper screams past you at some stupid rpm. :cheeky4: It's just a "donor" motor.

Hello All,
My name is Curtis and I'm looking for some people to go riding with. I had a great time this summer riding trails on my dirt bike so I decided to give snowmobiling a shot.

Anyway, I recently got an old Kawasaki sled and I'm keeping it in Luzerne, MI close to a trail head. If there is anyone (or group) that is planning to go to ride up there on the weekends, please let me know because I'd like to join you.

Hi guys, i'm new to this website and new to this hobby also. I've been riding dirtbikes for a while and decided to really feel the G's this winter and found a sled. The registration says 1988 Bombardier Formula, and the body is exactly like the 92,93 Mach 1 black with blue, purple decals on the side.Labeled 670 Rotax, anything suspicious about that?. Now i'm looking for information on what would be the best 2-strock oil to use, spark plugs, and importantly what kind of gas do i run t on (ord (87), supreme(93,94!). If you guys could let a greenhorn in on some helpful tips it would be greatly appreciated,
I am just learning more about all the different places I can get info about sleds.
I went to New Hampshire for a grass drag and had a blast. There was this booth that had an unbelievable invention. I would have never thought. I also recevied some info about an expo that was happenin' in cortland, NY. I guess the guys who invented the unbelievable are suppose to be there. I learned about it on the flyers web site. maybe you should check it out.

Hello to all fellow sled heads, new to the site, dropping in to get to know many of you. Currently have 4-SKS700's, of which 3 are 1999's, and a 2000. To keep the driveway clear of the White fluffy stuff, a 2000 Polaris Ranger 6x6 with 6 ft plow clears the way, and during the Summer months, the wife and I saddle up on a '07 Sportsman 800 X2 to enjoy the outdoors. Interests are like many of you, outdoors activities, sledding, hunting, atvs, dirtbikes, etc. I do my own work on the toys when ever possible, rebuild clutches, shocks, motors, etc.. Will be looking forward to conversing with you in the future.:D:D

Hey everyone. Been on here a couple weeks now and really enjoy it. Got into the sport last year by buying a 2000 Powder Special 600 EFI for me and a 2000 ZR 600 EFI for the wife. In January, sold mine to dad and upgraded to 2006 Crossfire 7 with only 1600 miles. Really enjoying the sport so far.

Really like the Crossfire (all cats in general). Have ridden Ski doo, and polaris from friends and nothing compares to the cats.

I don't pretend to know everything after one year, but grew up on a farm fixing things, spend every waking moment not at work on this site (and arctic chat....sorry). There's a ton of great info on here.

Looking forward to some snow right now, as the itch needs to be scratched. Ride hard, Ride Safe!!!
