Hey guys,
I am on here to let you all know about slidekicks ice scratchers, and to answer any questions or concerns about them.
Slidekicks is what I sell and my cousin is the manufacturer (between the lines designs). As such I have exclusive access to special pricing and I use the price breaks he passes on to me to the customers.I sell slidekicks on ebay as well as my website bellow the msrp of 69.95 + s&h.Here is the links to both loctations that you can purchase them and get in depth info.
Here is some detailed information about slidekicks reverse compatible ice scratchers.
Slidekicks are a reverse compatible ice scratcher, that means no more bent or broken ice scratchers.
You dont have to worry about SLIDEKICKS breaking when you go into reverse after you forgot to put them up.
Or breaking them on the terrian and of course the all time classic bending them after you forgot to put them up before loading your sled on the trailer.
SLIDEKICKS are made of a cable that is not only indestructable and flexible but they also put great down pressure o n the snow and ice.
SLIDEKICKS have a different, yet effective technique in producing spray to cool your snowmobile. When not in motion, the scratchers stick straight out away from your snowmobile. The 45 degree mounting angle provides the downward pressure to keep the tip on the snow. When in motion, the SLIDEKICKS will be forced back toward your track & skid. The combined downward & backward forces cause the scratchers to constantly chip away at the snow and ice, creating a steady spray aimed at your hyfax and coolers
SLIDEKICKS also have replaceable wear points. So instead of replacing an entire set of scratchers, you can purchase our inexpensive wear points and replace them as needed. SLIDEKICKS are an investment that will save you money over the long term.
SLIDEKICKS are very easy to install and will work on any sled. They mount toward the front of your rear skid using one bolt. Many skids already have pre drilled mounting holes. If yours does not, you simply drill one hole where you want to mount your SLIDEKICKS. The tip is then bent back and hooked on the inside of your rails for it's resting position when not in use.
Last but not least slidekicks they are covered by a thirty-(30) day defective materials/workmanship warranty from date of purchase.
Thank you very much for your time and please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Here are the links to where I am selling them and my contact information.

Looking at making a fold down ramp on the from of my v-nose trailer. I am getting tired of having to carry the ramp all the way around the front and also would like to keep the road gunk off of the front sled. I was hoping that some of you that have this type of ramp could do me a favor and take some pictures for me and possible pull some measurements?????? I was going to stop down at the local Floe dealer with my tape measure, but didn't think that they would appreciate that much! Thanks for the help!

Well some of you know that on my 90' Indy SKS, ive been having problems with my lights. My bro has a friend that parted out a 97' indy sport, so i went and got the wiring harness and gauge cluster today. I got it all on and it seems to work good. I still have no high beam though. Is it just the bulb? The light is super bright now and doesnt flicker at all and stays good. Also, the speedo backlight doesnt come on. Me and luke are going to look it over tomoro and try to solve it. Other than that, the gauge cluster doesnt have a RPM gauge because it was a touring sled but thats alright, i have a newer and bigger gauge that looks better. Im really excited now that my light works. Any help would be appreciated!

Source

As millions of Americans hit the highways and skies next week for Thanksgiving, colder air will be sweeping into the eastern part of the nation and will cause an area of travel troubles around the Great Lakes.

The Thanksgiving week cold push could be a precursor to what lies ahead for December.

Colder air, more appropriate for late November, will first roll into the northern Plains and then will sweep into the East and South.

The push of colder air will have shock value in that it would follow what has been an unusually warm first half of November for much of the nation.

For many people, it will mean winter coat weather instead of a light jacket or sweatshirt.

The arrival of the cold air around the Great Lakes will cause a lake-effect snow event. Hence, our award for the worst weather next week.

The lake-effect event will be ramping up Wednesday over the central Great Lakes and will spread to the eastern Great Lakes and into the northern Appalachians Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday.

Enough snow will fall to shovel, plow and slow travel in isolated areas, typical of lake-effect snow events.

AccuWeather.com Long Range Expert Joe Bastardi is expecting a colder-than-average December for the eastern two-thirds of the nation.

After in-and-out cold air into the first week of December, winter cold may lock and load beginning during the second week of the month.

Help on New Used Sled

Newbie here. Great board by the way! I need to help in the purchase of a new used sled. I am live in Southern Ontario (this is where I am looking for a sled) however I have a remote cabin in North West Quebec. We get ice, snow, hard packed, snow, deep snow etc. Thats where the sled will be used and will stay.

The Conditions

The main road is plowed and plenty of logging roads are that are not groomed and will have deep snow. The majority of riding will be on the big lake, conditions there are existing sled trails, deep snow, slush, bare ice (not too often) etc

Use

I will not be riding groomed licensed trails for now! I will take the occasion driver (my son but not to often). I will go ice fishing and tow a otter sled with basic gear. I will tour, sight seeing, etc. I am an average rider, heavy set boy, and I will be using the sled approximately 15 to 20 days per winter. (still have to work for a few years) I would like this sled to be a main stay. One I could grow in and have it for years. I am estimating 500 to 1000km per seasons use. I presently have a 98 Yamaha Venture 136 TR Electric 485 fan in imaculate condition with only 2000km but the track does not do the job.

What I am looking at or considering is a Ski doo GTX 08 or 09 550 for it has a 136" 1.25" lug track and it is fan cool. This is similar to the ski doo expeditions and in the life I cannot find one near by. Same goes as a late model Tundra LT 550. Or.........

do I go with a 2004 Yamaha Venture 700. It has the 136" 1.25 lug track and the liquid cool 700 engine that should be a mainstay for all. Keep in mind this sled weighs only 75 lbs more than the fan GTX ( 577lbs to 506lbs)

Please help looking for any new suggestions. Thank you so much

I'm new to sleds, but by no means new to power sports. So please help me out here. I'm seriously considering a 2005-2007 Ski Doo Rev 800, specifically the 06-07. A friend tells me to avoid Ski Doo all together because of ring problems. He talks very negatively about them. (He likes Arctic Cat.) I love the feel of the sled, the looks, sound, and all that good stuff. I wanted to get some thoughts from people who have actually had some experience with this sled. Tell me all your thoughts please. Specifically on the longevity and reliability but I'm open to anything.

I do a little trail riding, but more powder and a little bit of climbing. Which one is better? I know the F7 will be lighter...but how much do the 04' rev's weigh?

Does the REV have the HO motor? Anyone know how much power the 04 800's make? I am thinking the F7 will probably be a little faster but the REV a better powder machine with the longer and wider track?
