fuel mix

I need to know the gas to oil ratio in gallons for a 297cc Sachs engine. It sits in a 1968 Rupp SS. If you know how much oil to 5 gallons of gas it would make things real easy. Thank you.

GOING BACK TO MY OLD SLED DAYS, I HAD A '69 SCORPION SNOWMOBILE WITH THAT ENGINE AND I BELIEVE IT WAS 40:1.
THE OIL CONTAINER WILL HAVE THE CHART TO TELL YOU HOW MANY OUNCES TO ADD TO THE GAS

GOOD LUCK!

in just about any two stroke, id run conventional oil at about 32:1, and good synthetics at about 40:1, or 50:1. id reccomend a good synthetic like klotz or amsoil.
