96 skidoo grand touring 580 dies warm

I have a 1996 grand touring 580. Starts right up cold and runs great for about 5 minutes, untill it warms up then it bogs out and dies. I can hit the primer a few times and it starts right back up for about 30 seconds or so then dies. Can hit the primer again and it will start back up. Can get it started and it will idle at about 500 rpm. If i touch the throttle it will die again. Have 145-148lbs compression after it dies. Any suggestions, thoughts or ideas? Could use some help.
Thanks

Sounds like your carb isnt really getting enough fuel. It burns it up starts to die, you pump more in there and it burns it up too. Idk what else it could be. Im not much of a ski-doo guy (only cuz i never owned one) good luck finding your answer!

Part of the problem is the idle is too low.
It should be 1800rpm.
Idle too low and the plugs load up and there is no throttle response at all.

Time to use an inline spark detector and see if you have weak spark when it does this.

A coil could be going out when it warms up like RJ said. Are the plugs all fuel soaked?

i have found that when is starts to bog out and wants to die. if i pump the primer while holding the throttle open some it will run until i stop pumping. starting to think it might be the pump. the fuel filter and lines are new, the pulse line is also new. should there be much pressure in the pulse line going to the pump? what should i be looking for inside the pump if i pull it apart?

For the price of a pump rebuild kit, just for it.

You will feel a slight pulse on the line going to the block when it runs. Hard to feel.

Fuel pump rebuild kits are cheap as stated above. Just rebuild it. On my polaris if ipull the pulse line off and hold my finger at the end and pull the cord, i can very slightly feel air going in and out. Hope you get it going! Good luck!

sounds more like crank seal issues. the seals stick to the crank over the summer and rip when you pull it over for the next season of riding. look between the primary clutch and block for oil residue. when the engine is cold the oil in the bearings is thick enough to block the air leak. warm the engine up a little and spray ether behind the clutch if the engine revs up new seals are needed. you can also have a mag side seal gone as well. i usually remove the recoil and do the same test but you need to be careful as any spark will cause a fire. ripped crank seals cause a lean condition priming the engine will remove the lean but it'll come back as soon as that fuel is used up.
