2003 zl550 cylinders

A year ago I rebuilt my zl550. I put new pistons in and honed the cylinders. Did this machine have plated cylinders? And If so is my motor a ticking time bomb? It runs fine in it's current condition

The cylinders are nikasil lined. 550's aren't known for coming apart, they are pretty dependable. Honing the nik probably only broke the glaze, nikasil is tough stuff.
