Phazer 2 not going forward?

So the Phazer 2 i got wont go forward (or any where for that matter), after a little investigating i think the drive belt isn't in-gauging correctly. I will admit i don't know much of anything about snowmobiles. Me and my cousin did get it to go but i had it pinned at full throttle and when it went it jerked hard and just took off, and it's spewing a lot of white smoke. Also i had to get part of the carburetor rebuilt.

Sound like you ashley cleaned carbs then. What rpm did the clutch engage when it did go? Sound like dirty clutch to me.

Is that fan or L/C? Did you try to run it with the track off the ground so you can watch the clutch and belt? Does it bog or anything of that nature?

It's fan cooled, no only on the ground but i did watch the belt and clutch while on the throttle and it looked like it wanted to engage but couldn't engage all the way. Nope sounds like it's running fine no bogging down, if anything it's idling kinda high.

Does it seem to rev up though? Can you watch the clutch and see how smooth everything is working?

Is there a spare belt that you can throw on? Maybe a worn belt and or dirty clutch

No spare belt, but the belt looks like it's in good condition except it looks a little shiny like it got too hot. Can i just clean the belt/clutch?

I would take the clutch apart and clean it. Just 6 bolts on the cover and you can clean everything. Make sure the rollers roll freely and weights are also free. Clean it real good with some brake wash and some scotchbrite.

Don't spray any lube on the clutch other then air and a graphite lube if you so wish to use it, and I would change the belt out with a new one

Well the reason for nothing such as that is cuz It's like a magnet for dirt and grime build up.

You can use brake clean or brake wash with no problems. WD-40 isn't good. Wash it all off with the brake wash.

i took the belt off and cleaned it, cleaned the clutch with brake cleaner and it still doesnt work. It seems to be working smoother when the track is in the air bt when i put it on the ground it doesn't work. I dont have time tonight to pull apart the clutch and really give it a good cleaning tho.
