Cold weather starting

I have a 2004 Polaris 700 Touring. Last weekend when I went out riding the temperature was around -30, I started the sled, it idles fine. I let in warm up for about 4 minutes and when I drove it off the trailer, as the rpm's started settling, the engine staled. I could only restart it back up with half choke. When you drive it for about 5 minutes and it warms up, it does not do this.

Is it normal for it to be shutting off in extreme cold when its not fully warmed up?

Thanks

That's normal. If it also had ridability issues, I'd be worried.
