Question V Force 3 carb tuning

Last year I replaced my stock reed cages with V Force 3's. I have Keihin carbs. My mains are 180's and didn't bother rejetting the needle. My idle is still "sloppy" even after resetting the air screws at quarter turnsin either direction. When I'm at midrange I've got KILLER more fluid response rather than the choppy abrupt response with my stock reeds. Does anyone have any good ideas on how I can clean up my idle? I haven't messed with my oil pump settings as I don't think thats neccessary. My average temperature is 10 to -20 on riding days, and I ride mostly at 0-3000 ft. PS- I'd like to get better fuel consumption as I seem to get alot of "blowby". Please let me know what I might also have to do if I upgrade my stock silencer with either a Rumble Pack or DG.
