How do I remove a broken pilot jet?

I probably tightened the pilot jet too much last year and broke the slot tabs when trying to remove it today during my pre-season tune-up. My smallest easy-out won't fit the hole and I don't want to drill it out any bigger. I'll shop for a smaller easy-out tomorrow but if I can't find one I was going to grind a triangular file small enough to fit and try that.

Does anyone have experience in removing a busted pilot jet?

And yes, I used a properly fitting screwdriver.

I have done many of these on street bike's and sleds and the best way to get them out is to drill and use a small easy out. I also spray blaster in to help loosen the threads. Sometimes I have had to use heat but be careful and drain all the gas out of the card bowls. When you get it out replace all parts with new!!

1/8" - 3/16" left handed drill bit! And use a drill press!

I ended up buying a small square style eazy-out and it worked well. I put the eazy-out in the vise and turned the carb while applying pressure.
