Polaris XLT 600 Rack Carbs to Singles

I have a 98 XLT 600 with the standard carbs. I purchased a 99 XLT 600 motor for it and it had the rack or rail style carbs on it. The problem I ran into is the oil injectors or feeds on the 99 motor are fed into the carbs and the 98 motor are fed into the cylinder (intake port). I don"t have the rack carbs and need to use what I have. Can I feed the oil line into the capped port on the single carbs or do I have to pull the jugs and drill them for the oil ports? Any advise would be helpful.

Thanks in advance

Personally I would get a set of rack carbs! They are much better and easyier on the thumb!

You can tap into the plugged hole on the carbs.

Plugged holes

Are you refering to the capped ports on the clutch side of the carbs just off the intake ports? If so, I was looking at those last night on my other sled and wondering the same thing. That sled is still together so I did not want to take it apart to look where the ports went. Thats a great Idea! I will have to look into that farther. I wonder whey they would not just have tapped in there from the getgo?
