Mikuni pilot jet question

This is a weird question maybe. Is the inside hole on the pilot jet supposed to be smooth all the way through? Each of my pilot jets on my triple seem to have a clog about half way through the jet. I am soaking them now in cleaner. Should i be trying to get that out or is it supposed to be there?
Thanks.

Smooth.... all of the way through... Can use a copper wire or a paperclip.

Ok, I let all three pilot jets sit in cleaner over night. I still can't get a wire or paper clip through them. I can see through the hole. It seems like there is a ridge in there that is supposed to be there? It's in the middle of the jet. I should be able to break down build up, but whatever is in there feels like its part of the jet.

One hole is bigger than the other on each side. Seems like the ridge is where the two holes meet up in the middle. Maybe the ridge creates some kind of turbulance that the jet needs to work right?

The reason I'm doing this is because the sled will idle rough and will not rev up. I thought I'd clean the carbs to see if that was the issue. Maybe change the plugs too.

Use a piece of stranded coper wire and use just one strand! The hole is very small!

^^ what KC said. I use a single strand of telephone cable with no insulation, it's the perfect size

I reassembled everything after a good clean. It was hard to start initially, but then it got going and works great now. Those jets must have been clogged or something.
