Carb flooding.

I have a 1979 Artic Cat El Tigre 440. When I start it, it idles fine and i can rev it up no problem. But when I take off then it goes about 30 yards and floods itself out, shooting gas out the back of the carbs. The carbs where just rebuilt. Can anyone help me out?

I had the same problem with my 40mm Mikuni carbs after disassemblingand reassembling so often. I finally took it to a carb shop and they told me that after so many years of doing this the seats and needle were mechanically weathered, and the float was failing. I'd suggest either getting a carb kit to replace the gaskets and float or just buying new ones.
