carbs with attitude

here's the original problem. My sled was running on one cylinder. ie if i took off the plug wire from the left cylinder, the sled would run the same. If i took off the right wire, it would die. So, I took off both carbs, switched the throttle cables and choke cables and put them back on. Now, when I went to take off the right plug wire, it should've died right? Nope. Now it seems to run great. Does anybody know why this might be? Why would the sled run with the carbs switched and not the other way around? This seems very strange. Oh well, at least it works now
