Most cans do not reqiure re-jetting. But IMO they really dont do anything but make noise. Your probably only going to lose like 5 pounds or somthing. For your golf cart a fan cooled would be great and you could run a liquid but you would have to find a rad for it. I would suggest going with a fan it would be alot easier to work with.

The silencer on the 650 is quite large and weighs about 10 #
If you can get one from a newer sled (93/94), they weigh half as much.

DON'T GUT THE CAN! You'll lose back pressure and burn the exhaust side of the pistons! Get a newer silencer to put on it. Do it right, the FIRST time!

As SEG said, do not gut the can, get one from a newer model Wildcat as it will be half the weight.
You can run it without the stabilizer bar, it just won't corner as well since both skis will not stay planted. The inside one will tend to lift in hard cornering, resulting in "pushing" in the corners.
Fix the link!

I agree with the guys! As for the cart a 500cc fan from like a cougar will be perfect! But you want to get the hole sled, to be able to use the diven clutch, as well as the brakes!
To loose weight on a Wild Cat is still a ongoing quest! Loose the track get a newwer one can save 20# or more! Plastic or Alum skis another 10-15# ! The seat foam, the hood, the shocks, the suspension in general are all places you could shave a few more!

Maybe it's you that needs to loose weight, not the sled! :-)
