If I saw those "hot but ok" plugs come out of my two stroke, i'd be real worried!

I've always run BR8's in my '80 340 Jag, but I have never seen a brown plug! They are *always* black and oily. Should I try a hotter plug, and if so; which?

br9eix

I have always been running BR9ES in my sled. They say BREIX are ways better plugs. Do they make a difference? Do they start better and dont foul as easy?

I'm going to guess your chokes were stuck before and were over-gassing your machine. A 19 is good. A 4 (although saying too cold) is how a plug will look when your engine is running rich.

Depending on temperature I go from 16-20. I've seen them almost pure white with a slight tinge of tan.

Has anyone ran any of the E3 DiamondFire Spark Plugs?

Im really interested in seeing how they really do and if they do make a difference. I have always ran NGK's BR9ES, but i am interested in trying these out this year.

ya i saw those in a dennis kirk catolage. And the Denso Iridium plugs. Electrode on these plugs are even smaller than the NGK Iridium plugs. But i would put my money on NGK stiil. And ya those PowerMadd E3 Diamond Fire plugs look interesting.
