Hi kccats, these are the parts I had laying around for that carb.2.5,3.0 slide: 40, 50 pilot: 360, 410,430 main:Needle tubes: AA-5, AA-3: needle:7dh-3, 7dh-5: float bowl needle vavle 1.5, 2.0. Thanks
Well got the carb mod done. Had to mod the new throttle cable to work. I don't think my jetting is right . I am going with kccats set up. I am runing a 40 pilot . 410 main 7dh3 needle and 2.5 slide . AA-5 tube. Start right up peg the throttle and it rips no bogs through any of the ranges but that's with it up in the air. I did notice I have problems with the idle. Have the idle screw almost all the way in and it only reaches 1,500 rpm. Think I have to drop down the pilot from a 40 to a 30? And kccats I order all you parts you said I should get but u didn't get tube size. All I red was QA from you . Could you give me a hand I don't what to do any damage. It's my first carb change out . Thanks
Any info would be heip full. Still looking for a used EGT set up to play it safe. What do you think about the idle problem? Screw is almost all the way in and on gets up to 1,500 rpm think by droping the pilot or lowering the needle would help in that area. I was going through some if your old post and seen you also had to do some throttle cable mods to it. Did you ever get the motor ported ? Or add a second base gasket . I was going to add a second base gasket do you think that's the way to go. Thanks KC
Wait till it is below 30 deg and then see how it idles!
