Clutching, pipes, jetting, are some. You sure ask alot about wanting to go fast. Maybe just get a leer jet.

You could strap a small rocket engine to the back, light it and hold on!

well, with clutching, you odnt have to buy a full kit. just play with springs, weights...pipes, they can get expensive. boring it out helps, but you need the bigger pistons.

not one of the cheaper options

i bored my 500 out and it performs well. my top end is hurting right now because my clutch engages at 5k. i like it though, especially off the line.

If you want top end an easy way is to change your sprockets, go up one tooth on the top and down one on the bottom. You'll lose out on acceleration but gain some mph on the top end.

ok yeah, thats an option. but obviously he cant do that or he would. lets not start this again...it used to happen all the time. people want to know how to improve their sled and everyone posts "buy a new one." not much help.

i realy don't want to sound like im saying buy a bigger sled, but maybe a bigger motor?

you wanted definitions for some words

1.)piping: an aftermarket exhaust pipe

2.)jetting: changing the jets in the carburator

3.)clutching: changing the weights and springs in the clutch system

4.)gearing: changing the gear ratios in the chaincase

yeah but we are talking about a 80 somthing polaris 500 is it liquid cooled? even your probily only putting like 70 some horses out and you gotta figure the age and millage so your talking probily a mer 60 ponys if that! now unless you going to gear clutch pipe jet bore and all of that you could have just aswell rode your seld for a year or two and saved money than even bought a early polaris tripple for almost nothing that would already be so much faster stock. or replace the motor. Its like those guys how spend a ton of money on rice grinders to make then fast when they could have just spent there money on a late 80s/90s camero and would have had tons more power and top end speed.

plus if you do get a new sled after all the mods and time and labor and want to sell your moded out sled it won't bring any more money it usless trying to polish a terd

I tried with turning my zl 440 in to a wanna be sno crosser
i plan on just buying a sno pro right off the bat now.

What's the sled situation over there in Finland? Are there dealers? or is it difficult to find sleds?

It's really eeay to find sleds.. New ones.. Nobody needs to travel far.. Parts? that thing can maybe be tricky! I would like to have parts that make my motor better but i don't know how to get them let's see what i think is the best searching site in finland fore sleds.. They have 1000 sleds for sale right now..

So.. can someone tell me what i should buy if i wanted more HP and i have.. let's say 250€
