How many studs?Ice Pix or Chisels?Road Wear?
1996 Indy Lite Deluxe 340
Probally going to be rebuilt but still just needs 96 studs in the triangular pattern with 4" of carbide up front right? Also I would probally do more trail riding than ice but probally not in a huge amount of snow.Ice Pix or Chisels/Scoopers?Also is there a type of stud thats good against road wear because its not rare to go flying down the pavement around here if it has a little snow on it.lol
Thanks in Advance,
Ron

Nobody knows? My uncle said I should just get a paddle track but then told me that if you have enough money the ice pixx are fun.He had a 1993 Mach 1 studded pretty much to the max with what he said were called "daggers" or something.Maybe made by woodys?

Yeah, 96 either Studboy or Woody's in the track and the v pattern down the center, maybe you dont even need 96 on that sled but it wont hurt. and i would say 4 or 6 inches on carbide up front.

Pavement will wear and/or bend studs. Don't go spinning on the pavement.
I'd go with your uncle's suggestion! Sounds like your riding conditions don't really warrant having a studded track. If I had to choose between my 440 with 1.25 paddles and no studs, or my 550 with .75 paddles and studs... I like the way the non-studded track hooks up WAY better!

do not, repeat do not buy ice picks or chisel's unless you are going to use your sled on ice only.....trails and roads will wipe them out in short order.

Woody's make a stud for constant abuse on pavement. I think its called the roadrunner or somthing like that. I could be completely wrong though. It has a flat carbide tip that wont wear out easily but will still grab pretty good on ice.

woodys only makes mega bites and gold diggers with a carbide tip, these would be your best bet. personly I would recomend stud boy.
