When I did mine, I removed the rear snow flap, being careful not to drill into the rear idlers. Work just above them. Some people remove the 2 rear suspension mounting bolts, and raise the rear of the sled up on a hoist, so that the rear of the suspension/track drops down, giving you enough room to work under there. SmallEngineGuy is right, be sure to loosen the track, and also remove the drive belt under the hood.
