Grip heaters

I got alittle purchase happy on my latest order, and I ordered a handlebar warmer kit. (http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/produc...eafCatId=30504) Will these work with the stock grips on my '75 Fury? They are plastic. Or will I have to use aftermarket grips?

They should be thin enough to slide your grips over but use some soapy water to lube the grip before installing. Not wd40 or anything like that casue it will stay slippry forever and a day. I myself would get some nice rubber ones for comfort reasons. They are only 5-6 bucks at sportland 2 about half a block south of Rawson Ave. on 13th if you wanna head north about 5-10 minutes. Take I94 north.

The guy at the bike shop taught my son about grips. He passed all that good knowledge on to me.

Hairspray is what the pros use! Spray it good, and slip the grip on, and don't ever worry about it coming off...

Had no idea about the hairspray thing. Cool trick! End up having to cut them off though, huh?

If they're rubber, and you can get something under them, you *can* get them off by working at it a while.
