I took my skid oout of my 1998 xc 700. I have a chopmanual from the internet and it say there is a lock collar on the left side of the sprocket shaft. I cant find any collar. IS the a problem or did this sled not come with one?

There should be one and it will be on the inside of the tunnel on the speedo side.

There's not. The shaft just goes into the engin compartment under the secondary clutch. Nothing protruding into the tunnel area like the pic shows in the manual.
