Track matching

I have 1998 xc 700. I need to replace the track. The current one has all open wiindows and is clipped every windoy. The one i found is clipped every third one and every third window is closed. What doe sthis mean and will it fit my sled without problems?

Yes, it will fit without problems, also will turn faster since there is less friction.

I pulled the skid out yesterday. That went easier than i thought it would. I have a shop manual that i downloaded from the internet. It says that there is a lock collar on the left side of the sprocket shaft thing. I can't find any lock collar anywhere. Is this a problem or did the 1998 xc 700's not come with one of those?
