Pulling a skid from a 2000 Polaris Super Sport

Hey I wanted to know what it involves to pull the suspension skid from a 2000 Polaris indy 550 Super Sport to replace the sliders. what is the process and what is the difficulty, i am fairly mechanically incline but i have never tried it before.

Thanks, Brian

some sliders will slide out where the holes for the track clips are.. if not, suspend the back end, loosen track, take out the 4 bolts(2 on each side) by the foot wells.. and thats really about it!

it can be pretty hard to line it back up.. took us awhile to do it, for us, it was easier to do the front bolts first.

If you take the suspension out, it also gives you a chance to look at all the cross bars and check out the bearings on all the wheels.

If you do take it out, to reinstall, do the front bolts first, then the rear. If the rear has gas charged shocks, put a ratchet strap around some of the suspension parts to help collapse the suspension so the back ones will line up.
