Suggestions on tracks?!

Hey guys, newbie to sledding...looking at possibly replacing the track on my sled. its an 01 zl800. Have not decided if this is going to be a before this winter project or a project for next year. the track is actually in good shape except that quite a few studs have pulled through. Let me know guys!

I personally hate finger tracks, too soft and give way too much and very loud. They sound like a bad bearing.

I just put a camoplast carve or predator. Depends on whoes catalog you look at. They changed the name but it is the same track. Real good in the loose stuff. and will cut hard pack up also.

Ripsaw, Ripsaw, Ripsaw...... oh ya, get a 1.25" Ripsaw!

If you want studs get an Ice Ripper..... which is pretty much just a Ripsaw with built in studs......

Both those tracks are fairly pricy, but I have driven machines for long distances with both tracks, and I have nothing but good things to say about them!

I think for "finger" track, I think it all depends on who and HOW the machine is driven. I know some guys who have ripsaws and other similarily styled tracks, and the guys that are "throttle happy", you know the guys that are into the gas all the time, and who spin the track at every road crossing can have problems. I do know another guy who drives his machine just for a more cruising application, thats not saying he doesnt use the throttle, just alot less, and he has about 7,000KM on it right now, and it still looks almost like new......

I guess as for a track, you pick what is best for your driving conditions and driving style......
