Question plastic ski covers

im looking into changing things up on my sled, i got a new hood and mabye some accent lights, bar risers, traction pads, led taillight, air intake and i was also wondering how good plastic ski covers work they would look nice on my sled but ive heard that they get hung up on stuff and move around, is this true? also what brand is the best.

I had ski skins on every sled I had with steel skis, never had an issue with them moving around. They keep damage to your ski at a minimum, you tear up the ski skin instead. Ski skins are cheaper to replace. Also, they offer less friction on the snow, so you gain a bit on the top end.

I'm not sure what brand I had, I just ordered what ever Dennis Kirk had in stock.

I bought mine off of Ebay for a super cheap price. They are Kimpex brand.

I made the mistake of putting a cracked ski skin thinking "Ohhh it will be ok for awhile" Ya it was ok for about 5 miles then it broke off and caused a lot of strain on the ski and suspension assembly getting it home and then spending 45 minutes taking them off. But hey that was my stupid mistake, otherwise the ski skins were great.
