Skid Frame; Before & After
This is the skid frame from my 03 F7 SnoPro. It is absolutely unbelievable how rusty & nasty it was....not only on the outside, but many of the bushings & moving parts, as well.
I'm picking up all the arms, brackets, etc. from powder coat this week. I've also replaced much of the rusted hardware with stainless. Pics of the new version later this week. Stay tuned!!

Wow that skid frame look like it was in a vintage sled. I just replaced all of the wheels in mine $220 worth. They where some that had dryrot and 2 that fell off the bearings. I just got the new one the other day so i have put everything back together.

I have an 04 that doesn't look quite like that yet.We don't get near the amount of snow you get either.Can't wait to see the pics when your done.

Made some progress.....
Polished up the aluminum parts to give it some bling. After sand-blasting the rails, I didn't like the raw look, so I squirted them with some zinc-oxide primer & then shiny black engine paint. Replaced some of the rusty hardware with stainless. Still waiting for the arms from powder coat. Also had the shocks rebuilt & re-valved.

Picked up the parts from powder coater this morning & got it all assembled.....yikes!! real happy with the results!!
Next is the front end!!

wow that looks great!... i cant beleve what your skidframe looked like before, even the one out of my 92 plusX dosnt looks anything near that bad!.. but man what a difference! thats almost to nice to put back under a sled!
