my dad just bought a 2009 dodge 3500 cummins 6.7 before my 16th birthday haha just got my premit so we headed north its a 6 speed. going over some hills not big ones on theh ighway running 70 in 6th i had to shift to 5th and best she would do was 60 with my foot to the floor. we had a 2001 5.9 cummins with a vanaken smartboxR on it and 4 inch mbrp exaust and a ats mountain tranny with 3 sled on the back just like the 09 it would do 80 plus guess the green diesels dont run as good as the old girls:confused:

Starting in 2007, the gov't EPA laws choked the diesels so badly that they won't even run anymore. My friend works on them, he says they are nothing but problems now. Is that the model you have a urea tank in? Believe this, the newer Dodges use PISS, yes, I said piss (the urea), to offset the emissions the engine puts out. It goes into a tank and mixes with the exhaust to change the chemical composition of the exhaust. Ask your dad, or look it up online. Crazy stuff.

You can make it run just as good as the 01 put a good controller on it ( I would recomend the Edge Juice system with attitude monitor) and the 4 " exhaust and you will bring that engine to life. Sadly the only bad diesel out there right now is the ford 6.4 that was made from 08 - 10 it was nothing but problems hopefully that has been solved with the January intrduction of the new ford built diesel.

I run an 06 6.0 ford powerstroke with 4" exhaust, edge juice system, 20hp injectors, fluid dampener and arp headstuds

It turned 440hp on the dyno and topped 900 ft lbs of torque
