1967-1972 GMC Trucks

I'm i need of a couple doors for a 1971 GMC 5500 dump truck. It seems as though salvage yards are a waste of time these days - most trucks and cars this old have been crushed and recycled for steel.

I see lots of places on the web to get doors for a regular 1/2-ton or 3/4-ton pickup, or maybe a mason dump, something small. But I'm talking about a big-ass 5-ton medium-duty dump truck here. The cabs are obviously different, but it's hard to tell whether or not the doors are the same. I'd like to think GMC was smart enough to reduce costs by using the same doors on all their trucks, but I think the current state of GM and other US automakers tell me I better make sure first.

Does anyone on here know anything about GM trucks from these years? I'm sure a GMC door would fit a Chevy truck of the same size and vice-versa.

I've attached 2 pics of a roll-off truck I found on the web that has the same cab as my truck. (too bad it's out in Calgary!)

won't be the same. the door in that gets partially cut out for the wheel well. a regular half tonne or 3/4 tonne doesn't. but yes a chevy and gmc doors should be interchangable. (they are on the newer body style that that anyways. (the one that ended in 87) good luck though.
