2003 chevy silverado

my dad is looking for a different truck, he's wondering if the extended cab box is the same length as the 4-door box. He thinks the box on the 4-door would be shorter. does anybody know?

You can get either. One is on the pickup chassis and one is on the Suburban chassis.

The "crew" cab is bigger than the extended cab. However they both have 4 doors. The extended cab is like a cab and a half. But I can still fit my big a$$ back there!! The "crew" cabs are more like riding in a suburban.Much more room and comfort.

well, they're probaly the same as ford...

for example:

the "extended" or super cab (2 full size doors, 2 smaller doors)comes w/ the 6.5' bed

OR

you can get the crew cab (4 full size doors) w/ a 5.5' bed

wheel base is still the same, however, the bed is shorter w/ the crew cab.

ford's have 3 options with box lenths, like you mentioned PI500, but if im not mistaken, the GM's are only 8' and 6.5' boxes... i think the boxes on the crew ca and ext. cab are the same lenth... you're best bet would be to talk to a GM dealer about it...
