02ish f150 4.6 lariat 4x4, 4.6 is kinda gutless and the ignition coils don't like to get wet. other than that it's a pretty good truck.

somewhere in '00-02 chevy changed the trucks over to the ls based motor(4.8, 5.3, 6.0). my dad has a 6.0 work truck(2500HD 2wd), it weighs 8000+lbs. and can still lay rubber down. the non-ls vortec motors are very good too(i'm going to be using those heads on my camaro) but the ls based motors are in a different class.

i just realized that your looking for one for sale but i already typed all this. sorry, not for sale.

ya its still the vortec but went to the 5.3 with that style... the pre 96s were still 5.7s just like the 96-98, but the 96-98 were fuel injected

The 3/4 ton pickups didn't change until 2001 I believe. I know a lot of people with 99-02 chevy's and they are happy. There were just as happy though with the 96-98 with those vortecs. They make good power and chevy's 5.7 is pretty much bulletproof.

Nice, thats what I like to hear. So some lucky guy is gonna buy it from the dealer, not knowing that you burried it up to the floor boards in your local mud hole
