my tail light mod/upgrade/change
so i had some free time today, looked at the taillight in the zr, and i told myself. "self, alot of sleds have that same tail light" long story short i played with some ideas, and now i have to share
stock taillight, with led panels
stock taillight off the bike with 1157 bulbs
clear taillight off bike with led bulbs
i plan on looking at each setup at night, and then pick one, and if i use the tail light off the bike, i plan on puttin a filler plate where the old big taillight used to be . what you folks think ???

Bike tail light with led's looks good.
Using cover plates on the sides is a good idea and cover them with reflective tape too.

i was thinking of either some alummium polished to match the tunnel or painted flat black. im leaning more towards flat black just to make the lense pop a little more

I'd be afraid to break the light off by trying to stand on the bumper or of the sort.

Be aware that the LED's will not generate enough heat to melt the snow & keep the lens clear of build up. Get used to turning around & wiping it off occasionally as you ride. Jus4plaMI made a very nice LED conversion & that was his only issue.

yes this is true, it's hard to see the led taillights on the bike, during the day.i bet it will be even harder to see it on the trail with all the snow dust and what not, which is why im kinda leaning towards the red bike lense with dual 1157s in it.

The brakes look good flush like that...
I also like your "stove", is that wood, or a used oil burner? ...and i haven't seen G.E.L. tools in a while, my dad used to rep for them up here in the 90's.

That stove is a wood burning stove, we built it from 3 transport truck rims. And I knows it cant put out the heat. it warms the place up pretty quick!

I liked your idea so I borrowed it. Here's how mine turned out.
