nose piece repair?
has anyone ever repaired a nose piece on their sled with fibreglass?...if so can i just encase the nosepiece in glass or would i just be better off buying a new one...kinda want to hold off on buying new parts till spring cuz im going to strip it down and redo the sled.
if i can just repair it and get it back on the trails for the rest of this winter i promise to stay away from trees...

Is it a fiberglass part? If it's plastic, the glass won't stick well. Get a plastic repair kit.

not all plastics are the same, so not all repair kits will be an all in one. Coming from a bodyshop, repairing snowmobile panels can be a pain in the @$$, just to find the right stuff. Usually there is a marking on the underside of the hood denoting the type of material used.

being a roofer by trade i resorted to a temp fix for the rest of the season...
valley flashings cut, fit, riveted, and screwed. might not be overly pretty but it should make the next few months then when i tear it down and redo it ill buy new parts.
going out this weekend if we still have snow by then and will see if i can leave the trees alone
