shaving windshield

can anybody help me out on how to cut a windshield down? what do i cut it with?

I used some tin snips. Just mark a line where you want it shaved and cut it with the tin snips. The molding that goes on the outside will cover up any inperfections. You might not want to cut it when its really cold, it might crack depending on how old the windshield is.

i've used an utility knife, score a line then flex it to make a real clean break. just like cutting glass.

well you have to decide how high you want it then i would put some tape on the windshield as a cut line, you can see what it would look like before you cut it down, and once happy with it, i would use a die-grinder, or a dremel with a cut off wheel, and take your time, when cutting, and wear eye protecton, lexan hurts when in your eyes
