Wet sand the clear coat?

I just finished clearing my new hood after some fresh paint and I was wondering if I needed to wet sand the clear...

Thanks.

This is my first paint job ever. I had to rebuild part of my hood that was destroyed form the previous owner. I have 4 coats of paint under 6 coats of clear. From what I can see, there's no fisheye but a few TINY pieces of dirt stuck in it. I honestly don't care about the dirt, but I was more concerned with will it have more shine if I wetsand?

It will shine a bit more, but if you sand it wrong you can ruin the whole paint job. Your best bet would to bring it to a body shop and see how much they would charge, just not mine because i hate wetsanding.

I chose not to wetsand it, but have considered wheeling it instead.

If you wet sand be sure you use very fine paper. (2000 grit) It takes alot of time, but after it is done and polished out it will look good. Take your time and use a lot of water on the paper.
