Thief River Falls, MN – Arctic Cat Inc. announced today they’ll be releasing limited quantities of an all new F6 Firecat EFI. Available in mid January across North America, the new F6 will be priced at $7,599 U.S and $9,599 Canadian.
Offering all the engineering breakthroughs found on the original Firecats, the new F6 comes out of the gate offering incredible power-to-weight ratios easily outperforming all competitive sixes currently on the market including those offering H.O. (High Output) engines.
Tipping the scales at 460 lbs. (dry weight), the 599cc F6 offers an incredible 118-120 horsepower. It gets 46mm throttle bodies and Arctic Cat’s batteryless EFI (BEFI) system for easy starts, low throttle effort and automatic temperature and altitude compensation.
The new F6 will feature the new for ‘03 AWS VI front suspension, with a 43-inch ski-stance and 9.2-inches of travel and Arctic Cat’s FasTrack Long Travel Rear Suspension with coupling blocks, adjustable torsion springs and Arctic Cat gas (IFP) shocks.
Completing the package is a sharp new paint scheme complete with a green/black hood and pan combination, green faded to black windshield, unpainted tunnel, silver A-arms and spindles, green skis, two-tone seat and a yellow name badge reading ‘F6' signifying there’s a new six-shooter in town.
“I can’t think of a better way to get back into the high performance 600 segment than on top,” said Joel Hallstrom, Snowmobile Product Manager. “The F6 is based off the ultra-strong F7 engine and is going to be just a fun, potent sled to ride that will dominate this class in terms of performance.”
Arctic Cat Inc. designs, engineers, manufactures and markets snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) under the Arctic Cat brand name, as well as related parts, garments and accessories.
