k & n snow filters... Worth it??

i have a 99 powder special 700 and saw at hay days this year a few sleds with k&n air filters on them. does anyone have these? i would believe they would be a good mod just to open up the engine compartment and get rid of the stock air silencer. would make carb adjustments/cleaning so much easier. I also have heard somewhere they can make carb jetting a real pain. Mike

If you are the average rider and not a racer....nope dont do it.

More of a headache than you need for what you get out of it...

If you have never ridden any of the older sleds, before silencers, you would not even consider changing out the silencer. Those carbs make a lot of noise and also spray gas all over. The silencer quiets the intake and also helps inprove milage by scavenging the back-spray onto the engine.
