twist throttle ?

I race motocross and don't like the thumb throttle on my F6.Anybody sell a twist throttle conversion kit.Also,I'm looking for number plate decals but can't find them either. Can anybody point me in the right direction?One more thing.I'm looking for those suspension brackets that the sno pros have that makes the tunnel mounting hole lower so the sled sits higher.

you will end up whiskin a twist after every bump, a four wheeler throttle would be a better bet.

I believe he ment " risking a twist " with every bump.

some people are fumble-fingered when typing and don't read what they post so that they can correct it first.

moto x

Then why don,t moto x bikes have thumb throttles? They go over bigger bumps than snomobiles.Your thumb is 50% of your grip.I never understood thumb throttles anyway.

whiskey throttle means when you lose control of the throttle and it is stuck wide open because of rider position or shock, this results in a loop out or a crash.you will have to fight the twist with every bit of stregth you have every time you hit a bump.

riding a bike is different than a sled, you have a different stance and rider position, its also not as hard to hold on to a bike as it is a sled because all the weight of a bike is under the rider, unlike a sled that has the motor out in front. Bikes have 10* beter front and rear suspension.

bike 210
sled 450+

Exactly why the designers did it.

If you're really in need of a twist throttle, I believe some of the old Kawasaki snowmobiles used that type. I'm not sure if you can convert it to your Arctic Cat or not, but it's worth a look.

probably the best reason that you do not find them on modern sleds is:

::: drum roll here::::

THEY FREEZE more than the thumb throttle does.(more moving parts) why not add a finger operated throttle or a left hand throttle lever.

Twist throttle means death . I used to wonder why sleds didn't have the same throttle as bike until I rode one. Lots of weight to throw around on a sled, but you go ahead and do whatever make you comfy.
