2003 F7
Is there anything bad about the 2003 F7 EFI. If it has all the updates done, there shouldn't be anything else to worry about right?......anyone who knows anything please tell me.....Thanks, Liener

Went you are riding, check the oil bottle. They don't hold a full quart. Also you may want to upgrade the coolant bottle. The 2003s are famous for overheating and when you are going a top-up on the coolant, make sure there are no air bubbles in the system. I had the same problem with my SaberCat, but was lucky in not losing the engine.

It's not that the oil bottles are small, it's the low oil warning indicator that comes on too early; means there is about 1 qt remaining. The coolant system has to be "burped" properly, after it is done right, you don't have to worry about it!
Attached, below are the service bulletins for ACs; look up the year & model you need.........
http://www.waconiafarm.com/snowserv.htm
They are FAST...........supposedly faster than 04's & 05's.
I just bought my own 03 F7 SP this summer.......can't wait to try it out!!

Why don't you wait to ride it before you start changing parts & spending money. These are awesome sleds when they leave the factory. We all like to tweek things, but I'll wait to drive it so I get a good baseline, then go from there. I have made a list of things in my head.........at the top of the list is a clutch kit, but I'm still gonna' wait before I commit to anything. The waiting is the hardest part!! Just my .02!

well if you are buying out right you could pick one up for under 4000 eaisly, but a dealer will ovbisous want a little more. you could talk him down to the low 4000s, if he says no walk out and start calling other dealers.

I just paid $4000 for my 03 F7 EFI SP from a dealer on Memorial Day W/E. Granted it has a few more miles (~4K), but he has already done many repairs on it (new chaincase bearings, jack shaft, etc). I have yet to take delivery on it, since it is stuffed into the rafters of his storage bldg. We agreed he would do a compression test before I take delivery; he said he would would stand behind it as far as everything being good. I can't wait to get it...........I'll check on it over Labor Day w/e & let you know!
