wanted: zr 800 engine or older 600 engine to put in my 2001 arctic cat.

I'm replacing my 2001 600 efi engine for an 800 carb or older 600 engine. Just cant get the mods for the 01 efi like you could for the carbed engines. So if you have an engine for sale. Blown or running, 800 or 600.

Why do you want to get a 800 for? If I was you, I go for either the ZR 900 Carb or the F7. They are faster and there are lots for aftermarket parts for them.

why do I want to go with a 800? thats cause it'll fit into the ZR chassis well without no modification. Yea zr 900 engine would be great if I could find an engine. And I believe the f7 engine is not a zr chassis setup, I could be wrong. But im sure im not.

How much work would it be to replace the efi system to carb on the 2001 600. Has anyone done it? The reason being is, its hard to hop up a arctic cat 01 600. nobody makes a chip for it, so therefor you cannot put pipes or heads ect.

I forget that D&D racing makes a fuel pressure managment system, so therefor I can put pipes on. Has anyone use this system yet?
