i dont think it will do mutch more than 85. it a 93 and as things get older they sometimes slow down. but if thats not it, check the belt. if the belt is old and worn down it will slip. another thing you could check is the track. is it worn down? if it is you wont get good trackson.

hope that info helps.

It also may be geared for lower speeds. My 95 Prowler 550 2-up will do about 95 on a good day, but the only way my RMK 700 will see 90 is if it falls off a cliff. The Prowler is geared for the trails, the 700 is geared for the hills.

So if the clutches are all good to go and the belt is fresh, you may be getting all it can give unless you change gearing. Then it is a decision to make; do I want greater top speed or do I want greater ability to climb or play in the powder. It's difficult to do both...

I have to ask another question, in the paper i was reading and looking at what sleds like mine were going and i saw this one add that said 1993 wildcat with ZR suspension. How easy would it be to put a ZR suspension on my 93 or would just replacing the shock and see what happens better ?

Does your cat have the long track? If so, the ZR skid will not fit. If you have the 121 inch track, it should. If you are trying to sell the sled, I would only fix it. If you deside to keep it then maybe the upgrade will be worth it.

yep i have the 121" track. So the suspension from a 2001 ZR that my father has lying around will work. I just replaced the carbides, im going to keep this monster for another year or so.
