New '05 F5 Sno Pro oil line bubble..

I just got this sled (leftover) for a good price. No snow here in MA to test it out, but I have run it a little at the dealer's and in my driveway (on the stand). While giving the sled the once-over I located the oil feed line next to the belt and observed a huge air space in the line (4"-5" long) which did not disappear while running the motor. I shut down the motor before any damage was done. My question: How do I bleed this oil line? (to eliminate this air bubble) ... I'm thinking I have to disconnect the line at the oil tank and fill it with oil before re-connecting it (this seems like a major hassle, however, with mucho oil spillage...)..Looking to hear from other Firecat owners on their solution to this problem.....I am hesitant to take it back to the dealer; they are now into their 'landscaping' season and I'm afraid my precious Firecat won't get the attention it needs in order to fix this situation. I'm pretty mechanical myself and would prefer to do it myself. If anyone has any tips or experience on this procedure please post it here. Thanks in advance!

Even though you are mechanically inclined, i would say its under warranty so bring it back to the dealer, even though its a new season and they are selling different things, if they are a good dealer they will do it for you.

1. make sure the oil tank is full, tip the sled on the left side, remove the center belly pan.
2. loosen but dont remove the bleed screw.(finger tight)
3. tip the sled back on to both skis and put the back end on a stand at least 2 feet of the ground.
4. loosen the bleed screw untill oil starts to come out.
5. leave it like this untill all of the bubbles are gone. then tighten the bleed screw.
6. reassemble

the bleed bolt will be just to the right of the control arm.
